Eco Energy Foundation promotes various initiatives that stimulate youth creativity and enterprise - projects of talented Bulgarian children and young people in the field of natural sciences, education and specialization of young scientists and inventors, development of international cooperation of young people in the field of science and technologies, distribution of scientific and technical knowledge.

The topic of major interest is the R&D in the field of innovative, ecologically friendly energy technologies and novel materials for them.

Eco Energy Foundation is led by Prof.Dr. Mario Mitov – lecturer on General & Inorganic Chemistry and Electrochemistry at South-West University – Blagoevgrad and Guest-Professor in Institute of Electrochemistry and Energy Systems of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The main interests of Prof. Mitov are in the field of renewable energy sources and innovative electrochemical power sources, such as fuel cells, rechargeable batteries, etc. Prof. Mitov has led several research and student projects in this field. He is an author of numerous scientific articles, published in prestigious journals. For his work with talented young people, Prof. Mitov got several National and International awards.
